This is the gentle way to enjoy group fitness in Adelaide. Combining Yoga, Tai Chi and Pilates, a Les Mills BODYBALANCE™ class will gently build your flexibility and core strength. As you get fit, you’ll improve your mind, body and life, and leave your BODYBALANCE™ group fitness class smiling and feeling calm, centred and happy.
The class takes you through a series of stretches, moves and poses using controlled breathing while you’re listening to inspiring and uplifting music.
BODYBALANCE™ is ideal as an introduction for yoga beginners or if you’ve done yoga before and enjoy it but want to try a fresh new type of yoga-style group fitness class.
New BODYBALANCE™ classes are released every three months and include new music and choreography routine to make sure your group fitness classes always keep you gently motivated.
A typical BODYBALANCE™class
Your class starts with a 45 minutes routine of simple yet challenging exercises, and finishes with 10 minutes of relaxation and meditation.
BODYBALANCE™ classes begin with some easy flowing Tai Chi moves, specially designed to help you leave your day behind, centre yourself, warm up your body and get it gently moving.
Yoga & Pilates
The gentle Tai Chi routine is followed up with various yoga and pilates routines designed to strengthen and tone your key muscle groups. Poses and stretches are used to improve suppleness and flexibility.
The last 10 minutes of your group fitness class are set aside for the widely-acknowledged mental and physiological benefits of meditation which also enhances the effects of the exercise.
