Right now you might be asking… what’s kata? Kata is a Japanese word which means a basic pattern of martial arts movements that are practiced and practiced until they become second nature.
New BODY COMBAT™ classes are produced every three months using new music and choreography. With new routines to power through, you’ll never get bored. And you don’t need to know anything about martial arts to enjoy this workout — the routines are really easy to pick up and very inspiring.
A typical class
First you will be led through a series of martial arts moves to music. As you learn all the moves that will be used throughout the class, you’ll be warming up your body and your mind for the battle ahead.
Visualise your opponent as you unleash into a series of fight combinations. Focus on speed, power and endurance. Don’t worry, there’ll be time to recover as you prepare for each phase, with a final fight for your life that will seal the deal on your fitness objectives.
Finally, you will take to the floor and complete your workout with some strength training. Then it’s payback time — stre-e-e-etch out those hard-worked muscles after your fight. You’ll finish your BODY COMBAT™ class feeling absolutely amazing and ready to take on the world.
