What facilities are available at Satori?

As a member, you get 24 hour access to cardio and strength training equipment and Virtual Classes with a massive TV screen and pumping music. We also have friendly, qualified staff offering group fitness classes, personal training, group personal training and massage. You’ll find handy off-street parking and clean showers. Satori also organise groups such as 8 week challenges and City-Bay training to keep our members motivated.

How much does it cost?

We have different packages to suit different fitness goals and different budgets, starting from just $21 a week. To find out which one suits you best, check out our membership pricing.

Do I have to join for 12 months?

No, we have a few options available. You can pay up front and join for 3, 6 or 12 months. Or if you want more flexibility, you can sign up to have your membership paid fortnightly via direct debit, which you can change or cancel at any time with just 2 weeks’ notice.

Are classes included in my membership?

Yes! You can attend as many of our instructor and Virtual Classes as often as you like.

What types of classes are offered and when are they?

We offer lots of different types of instructor and Virtual Classes including Body Pump, Body Combat, Body Balance, SA Callanetics*, Boomers and a range of freestyle classes. We recommend trying as many classes as you can to see which ones suit you best.

Classes usually last from 30 minutes to an hour, and we have over 80 classes every week, so you’ll be guaranteed to find something you love and at a time that will fit your schedule.

What exactly are Virtual Classes?

Our Virtual Classes are audio-visual versions of the world-famous Les Mills group fitness classes shown on a massive screen with a pumping sound system. We’re the first gym in Australia to offer on-demand Virtual Classes and our members love them. You get the world’s best instructors for strength training, flexibility and cardio workouts. Body Pump, Body Balance, Body Combat and CXWorx.

Can I come for a free trial to see how I like it?

Absolutely. We understand that every gym is different and we think once you’ve visited ours, you’ll love it. That’s why we’re very happy to offer you a free trial visit. If you’d like to organise a free session, try a couple of free classes or just come down for a look around our facilities, we’d love to give you a tour.

What will my first few visits be like?

As a new Satori member, you’ll receive an induction as part of your membership. This includes a full body analysis, goal setting, and a personalised cardio and strength program. We’ll also help you with everything you need to exercise safely. So if you’re a beginner, there’s no need to feel apprehensive or a bit lost. We’ll get you feeling confident in the gym in no time.

If you choose to work with one of our personal trainers, we’ll book you in for your regular one-on-one sessions. Your trainer will start a PT diary for you so all your workouts, goals and your progress will be recorded. Perfect for keeping you on track and super motivated.

What do I wear and bring?

Thankfully, there’s no need for fashion parades here at Satori. Just make sure you wear something that’s comfortable and breathable. The most important items are a good fitting sports bra and a pair of trainers (sorry, we can’t let you work out in the gym in open shoes or thongs). Also bring a water bottle (we have a filter tap for refills) and a towel for your workouts.

Can I bring a friend?

Yes, of course. The more the merrier! We encourage you to spread the word and even get yourself a workout buddy. Ask us when you become a member and we can give you 7 Day Passes to give to your family and friends so they can join you at the gym.

What sort of results will I get? How long will it take?

By regularly exercising and improving your eating habits you can expect to increase your fitness, gain strength and tone, lose weight, boost your metabolism, improve your digestion, sleep better, and feel energised and happy! Results vary from person to person, but we’re here to help you figure out what works for you and your body.

I’m not sure about coming to the gym outside staffed hours. Is it safe?

We have a full security system, including secure swipe card entry/exit, plus cameras, personal alarms and emergency call buttons. Many of our members come after hours as it’s the only time they can fit a workout into their busy schedule.

Once I sign up for a membership is there a cooling-off period in case I change my mind?

Yes, you have a cooling-off period of 3 working days.

What happens if I go on holidays or want some time off?

We understand life can get busy and sometimes things need to be put on hold. That’s why we offer a membership ‘freeze’. Your membership can be put on hold (in 2 week blocks) from 2 weeks up to 3 months. This freeze can be extended for overseas travel or medical reasons.

If I decide to, how do I cancel my membership and what are the costs to do this?

If you decide you no longer want to be a member at Satori, you can cancel your periodic membership at any time with 2 weeks notice.
